Chicken Casserole! With onions, carrots, potatos, kumara, coli flower, capsicums, chillies, tomatos, cheese...

Iron Man 2 is like a big pot of stew. It is big, colourful, fun, and has a lot of everything in it. And honestly, tastes not too bad.

Closely following the first movie, Tony Stark returns as Iron Man, more arrogant, more proud and more playboy-ish. The Iron Man suits has multiple versions now, they are neatly hang-up and comes in different colors. I am sure everyone knows that the suit comes in a foldup version too, so he can have a little superhero experience when on the go. Unlike Superman or Spiderman, those dudes need to wear that uncomfortable elastic dresses under their day to day jackets; Iron Man is right up there with all the supermodels and hot journalists, he can't afford to have any skin rashes around crotch area.

Tony Clark actually has some depth in the second instalment, as the internal/hidden hazard keeps taking the tolls throughout his journey; which also gives him a more reason to be liked: he is not naturally shallow and naughty, he has his reasons… won’t that make the chicken tastier, ladies?

And outside of the cranky expression mask and the suit, we have just about everything else being a super-character is about; after all, Tony is rich, young and powerful man, he has unlimited resources, fancy 3D designing technology, all the high heel models and dancers, Audi sport car, private jet and his own wonderland town, weak government senator to reflect and grant him more reasons to be a jerk and really really beat down rivals. That is right. When a superhero need to bash someone, there is no more reason required; they just deserve the bashes.

Micky Rouke has done a very good work as a bad ass Russian mind. He actually speaks Russian and he controls his pace very well. Pity this is not an extreme psycho role and no further Oscar is embedded. Gwyneth as Ms. Pepper Pottsis still very effective, although she seems a little tense when rivalling with much younger talents. Scarlett has better skin/makeup and long curly red hair – nice; and the camera smartly shy away from full body shots so you don’t get to see that short legs – even nicer. Keep the dreams alive!

A lot of people liked the first "Iron Man", well, probably liked the original comics from the beginning. I didn’t read the comic books so I felt little excitement from the first movie. I honestly think it was risky to go for the second one as I was informed that the latter only has the same as the first. But though they rubbed so much into the movie, Favereau managed to make the movie well balanced; it is rather entertaining and each part not overstaying the welcome. Everything is contributing and nothing is overpowering, not even Tony’s cockiness.

I have to admit that I enjoyed the movie. I had very low expectation when walking in, but still admit that Favereau managed to make it stick. I am sure as everyone else that we will see more Iron Mans coming and I don’t mind waiting at all.

Iron Man 2 is the comedy of the year. Is it good? not necesarily, but it is fun to watch good actors have a good time.
