Will Alice in Wonderland Be Worth Going Down The Rabbithole?

Alice in Wonderland

Tim Burton's rendition of Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland" comes to theaters in March 2010, duh. You probably know that unless you where hiding under a mushroom(or taking one). Anyways, why do a lookout for a movie we are all aware and likely to see?

The Royal Undergrounds: Fantastic Mr. Fox Digs Up Soon!!!

Fantastic Mr. Fox Lookout

Wes Anderson returns to the heist-fumbling that put him on the map in 1996's indie favorite "Bottle Rocket.” This time, instead of a group led by incompetent yet goodhearted robbers, the devious plot is executed by a group of farm animals led by the suave Mr. Fox in the stop-motion animated "Fantastic Mr. Fox.” Based on the Roald Dahl novel by the same name, the clever Mr. Fox (voiced by George Clooney) must formulate a plan to save his family's fur from some mean farmers.

Keep your cape and mask in your closets, Bat-fans! Inception is here!

Inception

The most interesting trailer in the Inglorious Basterds showing was the shortest, a quick tease of Christopher Nolan's Inception. Set for next Summer, Nolan will try to hold our interest until he rounds up the gang for the inevitable third Batman film with this sci-fi mystery.

Leonardo DiCaprio is the lead(which got some chuckles from the audience since this tease was shown right after Scorsese's Shutter Island trailer. Hollywood has a fever, and the only prescription, is more DiCaprio, baby!) as he appears to be involved in another web of intrigue. The tease has a Matrix feel to it, not only by an overview shot of the city as a map, but with a fight breaking out inside a hotel corridor with both men flying halfway through the air(no sighting of The Architect, I'm Afraid).

Book or Eli

Here we have one of two Post Apocalyptic films coming out over the next few months (early next year actually).

Denzel Washington plays Eli. A man in possession of sacred book that will save mankind. Not sure what there is left to save according to this trailer, but I guess he means well. He will do anything to defend it and that is what the trailer shows.

Do we really want a Surrogate?

Bruce Willis, commentary, Jonathan Mostow, lookout, Surrogate, bitter balcony

Welcome to Bipolar Theatre, where flatter and bash all at the same time!

I start watching the trailer for Surrogates and think, "Hmmm, this could be interesting."

Surrogates, robotic representations of yourself which you control with your mind from the safety of your own home, this enabling you to live out your wildest fantasies without any risk of anything.

Want to jump off a building? Done.

Want to sleep with that hot stranger? (You know, because this doesn't happen already) Done.
